WELCOME

TO BLOOMFIELD HILLS BAPTIST CHURCH

PASTOR’S GREETINGS

We would like to welcome you to the website of the Bloomfield Hills Baptist Church.  It’s our desire that as you peruse these pages you’ll get a flavor of the exciting ministry that takes place both within and outside the walls of our church.

At Bloomfield, we invite you to visit us and to ‘Go Deeper’ with us. Go Deeper as we study and teach the Word of God…Go Deeper in prayer, in service, in outreach, in relationships.

Perhaps before you visit you’d like to talk on the phone or schedule an appointment or ask us some questions via our website.  We’d love that, too! We so look forward to connecting with you in a meaningful way in the days that lie ahead!

Soli Deo Gloria,

Dr. Donald McKay, Senior Pastor

OUR VISION

We strive to be a maturing loving, community of believers where anyone can find new life in Christ and real life with others in every season of life, and whom are impacted by God’s Spirit and Word in our daily lives.

OUR MISSION

To operate a church in Bloomfield Hills where each person can develop towards Christ-like maturity, and be equipped for their ministry in the Church and life-mission in the world in order that God may be magnified.

Our Beliefs

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God, that it was written by the Holy Spirit through men divinely inspired and that it is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (Romans 15:4, 1 Cor 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:15-16)

We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, truly God and truly man, and sinless in His life. (John 3:16; Matthew 1:20-23; John 1:1,214,18,29; Hebrews 4:15)

We believe in the personal, visible, premillenial return of Jesus Christ and in His ultimate kingdom and eternal reign. (John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16)

We believe in the local church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and which is comprised of regenerated people who are baptized and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that in the visible church the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper are to be observed. We believe that God has entrusted to the local church the task of proclaiming the gospel to a lost world. We believe that all human betterment and social improvement are the inevitable byproducts of such a Gospel. (Matthew 16:16-19, 28:19-20; Ephesians 5:22-24; Hebrews 10:24, 25; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16, 17, Mark 12:29, John 1:1-4, Hebrews 1:3, 8, Acts 5:3,4, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe that Jesus Christ made a vicarious sacrifice for the sins of the world through His shed blood. We further believe He arose physically, visibly and triumphantly from the dead. (Isaiah 53; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 2:1,2)

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ as Savior. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, guide and comforter. (John 14, 16; Romans 8:9 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:13, 14)

We believe that every human being is ultimately responsible to God in all matters of faith. We further believe that each church is independent and autonomous and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority.

We believe that God the Father is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power, and involved mercifully in the affairs of men. He hears and answers prayer. He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through faith in His Son Jesus Christ alone. (1 John 1:5, Hebrews 12:29, Psalm 139:1, 147:5, Revelation 19:6)

We believe that Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father making personal intercession for the saints. (Ephesians 1:19-21; Hebrews 7:25)

We believe that all men, by nature and by choice, are sinners, but that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” We believe, therefore, that those who reject Christ as Savior will be forever separated from God in a place of conscious eternal torment. (Romans 3:23, 5:12, 6:23; John 3:16; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-10)
